Who We Are
Durango Pizza has been owned by Ken Trujillo and his nephew Marco Lucero for two-and-a-half years. Our families have lived in Durango for generations. Durango Pizza previously operated as Happy Pappy's. The name and logo were changed to better reflect our family history, our continued dedication to our community and as an ode to the town we love.
Tony the bear
The bear in our logo is inspired by Marco’s daughter, Alanna. At age 5, Alanna required a heart transplant. Alanna’s nickname is Alanna Bear as she loves bears. We are profoundly grateful for the support of the Durango community during that difficult time. We are thrilled that six years later Alanna is well and thriving.
We named the bear in our logo Tony after Ken's father — a quiet tribute to the generations of family and community roots behind Durango Pizza.
The Font
The font in the new logo reflects our love of schools, sports, teams and the role Durango Pizza plays in feeding schools, students, teams and families in our community.
Our principles are simple: we believe in faith, family, community, teamwork and great food!
We are indefatigable in our support of our families, neighbors, community and teams.
